Guidelines for

Student Organization Logos

Student organizations, including fraternities and sororities, are a vital part of Mizzou’s brand ecosystem. Showcase your unique organization by developing your own logos, while operating within the brand and identity standards of the university. If you have any questions, we are happy to help! Email identity@missouri.edu.

Logo Guidelines

Student organizations are encouraged to create their own logos and visual identity within the following guidelines:

  • Student chapters of national organizations may use the logo of the parent organization and should make sure to follow corresponding identity standards.
  • Do not incorporate any of Mizzou’s protected marks into your logo.
  • The university’s name (e.g. “University of Missouri,” “Mizzou,” “MU,” etc.) may be included in the logo only when it is part of your official organization name as registered in MU Engage.
  • Do not infringe on copyrighted logos and artwork from other brands and organizations.
