Brand Color Guidelines

Our primary colors, MU Gold and Tiger Paw Black, unify our materials and uphold the Mizzou brand. The neutral and accent color palettes complement the primary colors, but may not be used in place of them.

Print, Digital and Website Use

All materials should be easily identifiable as Mizzou at a glance. Designers and approved third-part vendors must follow these guidelines to meet both brand and accessibility requirements.

Primary Colors and Tints

  • The primary colors and tints should make up at least 70% of the color used in a design.

Neutral Colors

  • The neutral colors should make up no more than 25% of the color used in a design.

Accent Colors

  • Accent colors may be used for icons and to call out special information like alerts. Use of these colors should make up no more than 5% of color used in a design.

Choosing a Color Build

  • If your project will be printed, use the CMYK color build.
  • If your project will be viewed on a screen, use the RGB or HEX values.
