Switzler Hall Bell Policy

Ringing the Bell at Switzler Hall

Built in 1871, Switzler Hall is the oldest classroom building on campus. The bell in its tower used to signal the beginning and end of class periods, but now it rings to honor the death of a member of the Mizzou family, to commemorate special occasions and to mark Tap Day.
